New iPad Mini shows that they believe AI is the future even though the cost of the ipad is almost half as much as their main phone and Apple still upgraded it.
But the AI features on the iPad are not as strong as what other companies offer and even Apple fans have not been very impressed and some of the best AI features are not released yet which makes the people disappointed.
According to Apple tests the delay might be because of problems with quality and performance. A report from Bloomberg says that ChatGPT is 25% more accurate than Apple Siri and can answer 30% more questions.
The situation of Apple with Siri is different from other companies because Siri is getting better at understanding natural language and working with apps and local files but there are still some things Siri can not do and for those tasks Siri will automatically send the question to ChatGPT for help.
This is part of an agreement between Apple and OpenAI. It is understandable that Siri cannot do everything that ChatGPT can do because they are two different products but Apple is using ChatGPT in more areas..
For example, ChatGPT will help with understanding images and documents. It is already being used in apps like Notes and Safari for writing help and ChatGPT technology also will handle creating images.
Apple relies a lot on ChatGPT which makes people think that Apple's AI is behind other companies like Google or Meta. This is not a good idea and some people at Apple agree with it.
Samsung has introduced its Galaxy AI which works with Gemini AI technology and is already available on many of its phones and computers and chinese phone companies have also been using AI to create images and offer smart assistants for some time.
